These
will take place during the first quarter of 2007, specifically
between March and the end of April, in the following countries:
Italy, Germany, Greece, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Romania
and Cyprus. These countries were selected because of the
need for support of their national cogeneration sectors.
The aim of the National COGENeration Days is to explore
further the implementation of the Cogeneration Directive
and capacity building by looking at: national potentials,
benchmarking, regulatory, market and technology barriers,
links with other legislation and networking. The discussions
relating to these issues will give a clearer picture of
the individual national situation and enable the Member
States to implement the Cogeneration Directive in a more
efficient way. The recommendations resulting from these
national events will be presented at the Conference in Brussels.
The National COGENeration Days aim at involving regional
and national stakeholders including government representatives,
manufacturers, operators, utilities, research institutes
and consultancies
