Description:

Future cogen is set to be one of the most important inputs to the European cogeneration debate. The importance of the study is emphasised by the European Commission, the major sponsor, in several statements made by officials remarking that it will help them prioritise what the Commission should work on.

Covering a total of 28 European countries, future cogen is a consortium of organisations dedicated to the promotion of cogeneration in the European region. Coming from the European Union, European Economic Area and Central and Eastern Europe, all of the major players in the European cogeneration scene are represented within the team.

The team consists of a Core Team of six organisations (COGEN Europe, ESD, ETSU, KAPE, VTT and Sigma Elektroteknisk), backed up by a Data Network of national partners representing each country. These organisations bring to future cogen expertise in all aspects of cogeneration, development, technology and market experience. The team includes key members of the European forum for the development of cogeneration in Europe - COGEN Europe.
